The first week of most months the Diva Challenge is called “Use My Tangle (UMT).” The Diva, Laura Harms, randomly chooses a tangle from a list of those submitted by their creators. The tangle for this challenge was created by Eleanor Holt and is called Athitzi. It is a new tangle for me and I found it to be an interesting tangle that creates great texture. Thanks Laura and Eleanor.
Here is my tile for this week:
For this tile, the Athitzi seemed like a good background for the tangleation of Paushalov, which comes from Cris Letourneau’s book, “Pattern Play.” (It is a great book!). The Athitzi was originally colored in a dull yellow. It just didn’t look right so I added orange and now it works better for me.
I encourage you to visit the Diva Challenge for a link to the step-outs for Athitzi and to see how others are answering this challenge. There is so much that we can learn from each other just by viewing the different interpretations. There are many times when I find myself saying, “Wow, I never thought to use the pattern that way.”
Thank you for visiting my blog. I would be delighted if you left me a comment and a huge thank all who have left comments last week.
Would you like to receive more information about Zentangle, read a tip or a review? If so, consider signing up for my free online The Tao Of Tangling Newsletter, which I send out every other month or so.
Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen
