The first Monday of each month the Diva selects a pattern submitted by their creators in what she calls the “Use My Tangle” (UMT) challenge. She usually selects the pattern randomly. However, this month she was looking for a ”darker looking tangle” and chose Brella by Bunny Wright, CZT. You see, May 4th is Star Wars Day, which is a BIG DEAL in Laura’s world and she tangled the image of Darth Vader. You can see Laura’s tile, read more about Star Wars Day and find a link to the step outs for Brell on her blog.
MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU! ALWAYS! (Clever!)
I really like grid patterns, so this one was really fun for me. I’ll be using it again in the future. I was happy that we didn’t need to relate the tile to Star Wars because it would have taken me a long time to figure out how to do that! Thanks, Laura and Bunny!
Here is my tile:
As I looked at the tile, I thought that if I turned it, it would look like little umbrellas. What do you think?
Now that I have submitted my tiles I am going to Laura’s blog to see how others interpreted the challenge and to see how anyone who incorporated the Star Wars theme did it. I encourage you to look at the submissions too.
As always, I am so grateful to all who leave me comments. They contribute so much to my journey with Zentangle. THANK YOU!
Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen
