Valentangle…

This week’s Diva Challenge is to create a tile with a Valentine’s Day Theme.

As always, I publish the first tile that I complete.

Tangles used: Mooka and Heartsrings
Colored with Prismacolor Pencils

This tile was done with a red Micron pen, Prismacolor pencils, and a graphite pencil for the shading.  Although it looks pink in the photo,  it is actually red.  The red pen is an orangy-red.

I find the red colored pencils difficult to use because I can’t find the right combination to create the shade I prefer, which more of a cherry red.  If you know which Prismacolor pencils to use to get the cherry red, I’d love to hear from you. The shading was done with a graphite pencil.

Now that my blog has been posted I am going to see what others created in response to the challenge.  I hope you will take time to view the tiles at the Diva Challenge blog and that you find these tiles as inspiring and educational as I do.

There are times when I would like to leave a comment about someone’s tile but find that I am not able to do so because the only option that I am able use is the name/URL option.  I do not fit into the other categories.  Sorry!  I hope you know that I appreciate your tiles too!
