Diva Challenge: “Stripes”

This week’s Diva Challenge is short and sweet.  Create a tile using stripes.

Here is my tile:

Tangles: Printemps, Knass, Arnia, Trivet (Tangleation), Birds on a Wire, and Tipple. Colored with Prismacolor pencils

The challenge is to decide which patterns to omit.  There are so many that fit the challenge.  Gee…I guess I’ll just have to do another tile. 🙂

Be sure to check out Laura’s blog  to see how others have responded to the challenge.  I hope that you find these tiles as inspiring and educational as I do.  I’m curious to see how others have created with their striped tiles and which tangles they decided to use.

As always, I appreciate the comments you leave – they are  a great source of encouragement and support.  If you left a comment last time – a huge THANK YOU!

There are times when I would like to leave a comment about someone’s tile but find that I am not able to do so because I don’t have any of the accounts required to respond.  Sorry!  I hope you know that I appreciate your tiles too!

Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen

  • Great tile! I love those colors and your Bird on a Wire is especially lovely.

    • Hi Michele, thank you for your comments. Birds on a Wire is one of my favorite tangles. I am glad you liked it. 🙂

  • I like your use of colour. It’s vibrant but subtle at the same time.

    • Thank you Karen for leaving these encouraging comments. I love adding color to my tiles. 🙂

  • Love the color! So spring like.

    • Thanks Lady Kate. I am so happy that you liked the colors. I gravitate to the blues and greens, so it is nice to know that others share my preferences. 🙂

  • Your tile is so beautiful! Happy weekend!

  • This is beautiful and has a real spring atmosphere.

    • Thank you Annemarie. I appreciate that you encourage me with your comments. 🙂

  • Great tangles, and I love your colour combinations

  • The colours you have chosen are lovely and they are beautifully coloured in. A great tile

    • Thank you Yorkshire Tortoise. One of the joys of tangling a tile is the shading. It is really fun for me, especially when I am using colored pencils. 🙂

  • I like your tile. The colors you used are perfect for spring – warm and light. You have just encouraged me to get out my colored pencils too. They are so much fun to use.

    • Thank you Melena. It warms my heart to know that I have inspired you to use your colored pencils. I was a strictly black ink on white tile for a long, long time. Then I went to an exhibit of Mimi Lampert’s work and I was inspired to use color. I have loved it ever since. It makes me happy that I can return the gesture. THANK YOU! 🙂
