While Laura Harms (aka the Diva) spends summertime with her family she has asked guest bloggers to create the challenges. This week’s guest is Katie Crommett, CZT.
Katie challenged us to use two or three tangles (but no more than three) on a 3.5” square tile and to use white space. She said, After you draw each tangle, be conscious of when you’ve reached your point of “enoughness.”
My typical tile has a string. Leaving white space and working more organically is not as comfortable to me as grid patterns filling the tile, just like my life, from edge to edge.
If you have viewed my past blogs you know how much I love using color on my tiles. I decided to keep this tile black and white with gray shading to stay with the theme of this challenge: “Simplicity.”
I considered adding more orbs between the Fescu and remembering Katie’s words I became aware that I was just trying to find that comfort zone and I didn’t need the additional orbs. This was a wonderful challenge for me. I will definitely do another tile sometime this week to expand that uncomfortableness into a comfort zone. Thanks so much Katie!
This is my tile for this week:
Now that my tile has been posted it is time to see how others interpret the theme of Simplicity. I hope you will take time to view the tiles at the Diva Challenge blog and find these tiles as inspiring and educational as I do.
There are times that I would like to leave a comment about someone’s tile but find that I am not able to do that. The only option that I can use is the name/URL option. I do not fit into the other categories. Sorry! I hope you will know that I appreciate your tiles too!
As always, I am so grateful to all who leave me comments and if you leave a comment I will leave a response. Fair enough? 🙂 Your comments are a great source of encouragement and support. To those who left comments last time, a huge THANK YOU!
Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen
