Tips For Tangling
Information, ideas, exercises, and more to maximize your success in creating Zentangle® Art
This book is unique in the realm of books about Zentangle. The focus is not on tangles and stepouts, but instead the tips are designed so the reader can take their knowledge of tangling and add to it. It is ideal for a beginning tangler, someone who has been tangling for awhile, and CZTs.
It includes a foreword written by author, CZT Cris Letourneau (Made in the Shade and Pattern Play, co-authored by CZT Sonya Yencer) and reviews by five CZTs – Kelly Barone, Donna Cyr, Tracy Lake, Chari-Lynn Reithmeier, and Brenda Shaver.
There are imagesplus exercises to help you understand what is being presented. The book starts with suggestions of things to do before you pick up your pen and ends with a story about how, in an unexpected way, I learned to appreciate where I was as a beginner and what I had to contribute that more experienced artists forget about. Because of my experience I am aware that tanglers often don’t realize nor appreciate that their art has worth and may offer an unique contribution to the Zentangle world.
The back cover explains that this book offers ways to:
