This week the Diva challenge us to use our non-dominant hand and draw tangles that include auras.
As Laura said, this wasn’t going to be my most perfect tile so my focus was on doing the best that I could and to learn from the experience. I found that, for me, straight lines were easier to aura than the curved lines, that using a larger pen (I used an 08) gave me the sense (illusion?) of more control, I had to really focus and go really slow to get the cleanest lines I could manage and I found that Mr. E is a very forgiving tangle.
Here is my tile for this week’s challenge…
Tangles: Tangleation of Baton, Mr.E., Static, and Crescent Moon
I have been dealing with a health issue for the past couple of months. As a result, I have not posted my Diva Challenge tiles. I’ve been busy dealing with the medical establishment, going to Dr. appointments, getting test, anxiously waiting for results, etc. I’m not complaining! I marvel at the technology that we have today that is saving my life.
I had my first MRI this week, which will be an annual event from now on. It was very interesting and….the machine “talked” to me. If you, or someone you know, has had an MRI you know that they are really noisy. The noise sounded like it was saying, “Patty, Patty, Patty…” and then “iPod, iPod, iPod….over and over. (Yes. I admit. I am easily amused.) 😀
The good news…the MRI didn’t show any new findings. YAHOOOO! I have an appointment with my Dr. next week to iron out the next steps of my treatment. Here’s praying that there aren’t any more surprises.
LAST WEEK’S CHALLENGE – UMT: DANSK
I like doing tangles that are new to me and Dansk was no exception. I practiced it in my sketchbook before committing to a tile and was glad that I did. It still needs more practice but it is coming along.
So, here is last week’s challenge tile:
Tangles: Dansk, Miander, Flux, and Tipple
Color: PrismaColor pencils
Be sure to check out Laura’s blog to see how others have responded to this week’s challenge. I hope that you find these tiles as inspiring and educational as I do. I always learn something from those who post their tiles. Thank you to all of you. 🙂
As always, Thank You to those who left comments!
Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen
