In Honor of St. Patrick’s Day…

The Diva, Laura Harms, loves the St. Patty’s holiday so naturally the challenge is about honoring the day by using green in any way the artist wishes.  Green paper, green pen, pencil, marker or crayon.  Or incorporate St. Patrick’s day with a shamrock, a rainbow with a pot of gold, or a leprechaun.

I get to use color…How does it get any better than that?  🙂  I chose to stick with the non-representational aspect of Zentangle and just used some of my favorite tangles.  I then chose to color them with only green colored pencils.  I often use the lime/olive family of colored pencils so this time I decided to use some of the other green pencils.

I wasn’t all that thrilled with my first tile.  It felt like I needed more white areas to balance all that green.  Because I always want to show my first tile in answer to the challenge here it is:

Tangles: Trivet, Tripoli, and Antidots Colored with green Prismacolor pencils

I decided to do another tile with more white space.  Here is my second tile.  I used the same green pencils for the second tile.

Tangles: MI2, Golven, Flux and Tipple Colored with green Prismacolor Pencils

I encourage you to view the other tiles submitted to Laura’s blog and see how others chose to complete this challenge.  It is always interesting and educational for me.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I appreciate all the comments that are left on my blog.  And to those who left comments last week –  Thank you!!!!!!!

Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen
