This week’s Diva challenge is to take a tile that was done awhile ago and create a newer version of that tile using the same tangles.
The Diva, Laura Harms, explained that her tile was created before she was the Zentangle Diva and before she became a CZT. Like Laura, this tile was created when I was relatively new to Zentangle and definitely before I became a CZT. I see that I fell into the same trap as many beginning tanglers, which is that I worked very small. Now I strive to work bigger.
My original tile was created about four years ago (I learned my lesson and now I date my tiles. 🙂 :
Tangles used: Antidot, Quipple, Pillows, Tripoli and Zewm
My “new” tile looks like this:
Using same tangles as the original tile
Years ago I took a class on writing children’s books. One of the exercises that we did was to think about a young relative – I chose my niece who was 7 at the time – and write about what your life was like when you were the child’s age. Talk about a trip down memory lane and raising one’s awareness to the changes in our lives. It was great a great trip through the past – you may want to try it! It was amazing to realize how much had changed that I just took for granted.
Now that my blog has been posted I am going to see what others created in response to the challenge. I hope you will take time to view the tiles at the Diva Challenge blog and that you find these tiles as inspiring and educational as I do.
There are times when I would like to leave a comment about someone’s tile but find that I am not able to do so because the only option that I am able use is the name/URL option. I do not fit into the other categories. Sorry! I hope you know that I appreciate your tiles too!
As always, I am so grateful to all who leave me comments, which are a great source of encouragement and support. To those who left comments last time, a huge THANK YOU!
Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen
