Today is the perfect day to sit and tangle if you live in Connecticut. Outside it is a cold, damp, wintery day with freezing rain that will later turn to rain. Tomorrow we will have spring-like temperatures in the 50’s and Thursday they are predicting “plow-able snow.” As Mark Twain said,
“If you don’t like the weather in New England now, just wait a few minutes.”
(For those who may not know, Connecticut is one of six New England states.)
Over the years I have seen changes in the weather, but in the past year or so these swings seem to be more dramatic than ever and I have lived in New England many decades. But now…back to the challenge!
The first Monday of the month the Diva, Laura Harms, selects a tangle from those submitted by other tanglers and she calls it the UMT Challenge. UMT stands for “Use My Tangle.” The tangle selected for this month is Diana Schreur CZT’s Hamadox.
Diana explained that Hamadox is a combination of two tangles – Hamail by Tina Akua Hunziker and Paradox by Zentangle founder, Rick Roberts. When you combine two tangles it is called a Tango.
Hamadox is a fun tangle that highlights the structure of Paradox with the swirls of Hamail.
Here is my tile:
Tangles: Hamadox and B’twined
Color: Prismacolor pencils
Be sure to check out the Diva blog to see how others created tiles using Hamadox. I hope that you find the tiles on Laura’s blog as inspiring and educational as I do. It is fun to see what other tangles people use with the featured tangle.
Thank you to those who posted comments on my tiles last week. 🙂
Just a note: There are times when I would like to leave a comment about someone’s tile but find that I am not able to do so because I don’t have any of the accounts required to respond. Sorry! I hope you know that I appreciate your tiles too!
Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen
