I missed last week’s challenge and was determined to sumbit one this week. So, in order to do that I chose to ignore all the things I have to get done today (which include, amongst other things, preparing for my Zentangle classes, the dishes in the sink, the laundry calling my name, and a floor that needs to be mopped) and decided to tangle instead.
This week the Diva Challenge is to use the new tangle from Zentangle headquarters called Noom. On their blog page, Rick and Maria show the stepouts, show tiles using the tangle, and explain how the tangle got its name.
Here is my tile:
Tangles: N’Zeppel, Noom, Pokeleaf
Color: PrismaColor pencils
In retrospect I wish I had made the N’Zeppel side of the tile and the background to Pokeleaf a lighter brown or a different color, but it is my self-imposed “rule” to publish my first tile no matter how I feel about it.
This looks like a good tile to use to experiment with the “clear nailpolish” technique Maria talked about in one of the blogs in February…but not until I prepare for my classes, do the dishes, do the laundry, and mop the floor. 🙂
Be sure to check out The Diva’s blog to see how others have responded to the challenge. I hope that you find the tiles others submit to be inspiring and educational. Because I do not look at the submitted tiles until I complete mine, I can now look. I’m curious to see what tangles others paired with Noom.
As always, I am happy to receive comments.
Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen
