Happy Passover, Happy Easter, Happy Spring…
For this week’s Diva Challenge we are to use a circle and a square as our string. My string is simply a circle within a square on a three-inch tile.
I chose Orb Pods for the middle of the circle, added Perfs around the circle, and used Knot Rickz in the corners between the circle and the square. Around the square I used Tanglepattern’s newest tangle, Barquillos.
Here is my tile:
Tangles: Orb Pods, Perfs, Knot Rickz, and Barquillos
Color: PrismaColor pencils
(I think it would have been better to use blue to color the Orb Pods so they don’t look like peas. Oh well…next time!)
This week has been another busy one, but for the most part it is filled with activities I really enjoy, except for going to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned.
The weather yesterday was more like summer than spring, which was a pleasant surprise and although gardening isn’t one of my strong suits, I just had to get outside and plant a lone Clematis plant. If this one grows well I’ll buy more Clematis next year. I know…that’s a lot of pressure for this one little plant. 🙂
Be sure to check out Laura’s Diva blog to see how others have responded to the challenge. My “rule” is to wait until I publish my tile to see what others have done so I won’t be influenced. I am anxious to see how others used the square/circle string. I am drawn to simple strings, so I’ll see if there are any that I can “adopt.” I hope that you find these tiles as inspiring and educational as I do.
As always, thank you for all of your comments.
Until next time,
Sending smiles,
Maureen
