This week’s challenge is to create a tile using your non-dominant hand.
I was tempted to skip this challenge because I have some issues with the nerves in my left arm and hand. I have trouble doing most things with my left hand, so drawing with it wasn’t high on my list of fun things to do. But then I realized that I could draw something with it.
I drew this tile in my sketch book instead of on a tile, which is why there is no border around the picture. I usually scan my tile under a piece of black paper so I can crop a border. I traced a tile using my right hand, but everything else is with my left hand. I followed Laura’s suggestion to use a Micron 08 to draw.
It is interesting to my eye and while not as precise as it would be if I used my right hand, it hold a certain naive, child-like charm to me.
So, here’s my tile for this week:

Tangles: Bales, Emingle, Printemps
Be sure to check out Laura’s blog to see how others have responded to this week’s challenge. I hope that you find these tiles as inspiring and educational as I do. I always learn something from those who post their tiles. Thank you to all of you. 🙂
And thank you to all who viewed my new book, Tips for Tangling, on Amazon. com 🙂 and a huge THANK YOU to those who purchased a copy.
Until next time,
Sending smiles,
🙂
