Using a Duotangle of Shattuck and Tripoli

This week’s challenge was to create a tile using a Duotangle, which is a term coined by the Diva, Laura Harms, meaning to create a tile using only two tangles. This week those two tangles are Tripoli and Shattuck.

I decided to draw Tripoli and add Shattuck to the space between the triangles.

I used Strathmore’s paper for “Colored Pencil” again for this week’s challenge and decided that it isn’t the paper for me. It doesn’t give me the effects that I want and I find it difficult to blend the colors.

I had surgery a few days ago and used this challenge as a way to deal with the discomfort of that surgery. Focusing on the Zentangle® elements really helped with my pain management. It is one of the benefits of being a tangler.  Fortunately, the Dr said that the worst is over and  the discomfort will ease more each day.

This is my tile for this week’s challenge:

Tangles: Tripoli and Shattuck
Color: Prismacolor Pencils

Be sure to check out Laura’s blog to see how others have responded to this week’s challenge.  I hope that you find these tiles as inspiring and educational as I do.  I always learn something from those who post their tiles.  Thank you to all of you.  🙂

And thank you to all who viewed my new book, Tips for Tangling,  on Amazon. com  🙂  and a huge THANK YOU to those who purchased a copy.

Until next time,
Sending smiles,

🙂
